2 Mini Posts: Poster for The Kick, and Jackie Bitten by a Dog

by kmiller

There is a teaser poster for Prachya Pinkaew’s The Kick, and Jackie has a run in with a dog.

I’m gonna try something a little different because there were 2 stories that peaked my interest, but neither of them were really big enough to warrant separate articles.

First is Pinkaew’s poster for The Kick. The Korean poster went online today, but it really doesn’t show much. In fact, it just shows you what the title state: a kick.

The movie stars member of the Korean Tigers, but also Jeeja Yanin and World Taekwondo champion Kim Kyung-suk. I haven’t seen any footage yet (maybe some behind the scenes stuff) but I’m curious how this movie will turn out. The movie will be a collaboration between Korea and Thailand, so I’m hoping that means a lot of talent is tied to the film. Given the fact that everyone is trained in martial arts, it’s a safe bet to say that the movie will have good fights.

The movie comes out in October, so we should be seeing a trailer online soon.

Jackie’s Dog Bite

Next up is a little story that was posted on Jackie’s official site. The site recently updated and talked about Jackie’s visit to the Dragon’s Heart Summer Camp for the closing ceremony. The camp was funded by Jackie’s charity, which you can read more about on his page.

Anyways, there is a really casual mention of Jackie working on his next project, which would be the Chinese Zodiac. It states that filming has started and that Jackie was bitten by a dog while filming a scene. The wound required an injection, but was not deemed serious. See? Like Jackie says “Jackie always okay.”

Anyways, I’ll be looking everwhere for more info on both of these films, and hopefully they’ll be able to take up articles on their own.
