Some of you may have heard of his name, while others will only know of his work. Bob Anderson was a  former Olympic fencer and choreographer, and he passed away on Jan. 1st.

Bob worked on a number of films, and there are too many of them to list here. However, if a movie involved swordplay, chances are high that he was working on the set with the crew. Anderson worked on the Star Wars movies, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, and Highlander, just to name a few.

Peter Jackson frequently worked with Anderson, and was quoted as saying:

“Bob was a brilliant swordsman and a gifted teacher; I will remember him as a wonderfully patient man, possessed of a terrific sense of humor. It was a privilege to have known him.”

Anderson passed away at the age of 89. Thank you, Bob for everything you did in cinema. You will be missed.
