Trailer and Info on Cage Fight
There are several films that have centered on the world of MMA. Cage Fight has one distinct difference in the fact that it is filmed entirely in Spanish. The film stars Mexican Bodybuilding Champion Guillermo “Willy” Ramos and has this as a synopsis:
Cage Fight is the story of an illegal immigrant (Willy Ramos) who crosses the border and gets drawn into the underground fight game. He has only two choices, win or die. It also examines the futility of life as an illegal immigrant in this country.
Iconic Pictures will be producing the film, which will be a part of a trilogy of Spanish MMA films. They had gone on to say:
“The Spanish language market for this genre of films is largely untapped. We want to create product for this niche market”
While I can’t say I’m totally excited for this movie, I like the ambition it has. I don’t see much potential in the trailer, but it could be very much like Blood and Bone if done right. I’d say this is more of a learning experience for everyone involved, and things will get better as they figure out their style.
