The Guillotines Arrive the Day Before the World Ends
You know, if the world is supposed to end on December 21st 2012, there are a lot of good movies to round out the history of the Earth. You have Chinese Zodiac, The Grandmasters, and the Guillotines all coming out around the same time. This span of time has been lovingly dubbed the “doomsday slot” and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.
While Guillotines has a lot to prove to go toe to toe with Jackie or Tony Leung, director Andrew Lau must have some confidence in it. Given all of the drama that surrounded the project initially, I’m curious as to how far this film has come. There were plenty of script changes as well as directors moving around, so I’d love to see a trailer of it in the coming months. It’s never too early to get people talking about a film.
