JCVD Ready to Get Back into Bloodsport and Double Impact

by kmiller

Jean Claude Van Damme has been really busy lately. During a press event for the Expendables 2, he was asked how he felt about the remake for Bloodsport. This was his response:

“I want to be in the film as a trainer and I don’t think the writer wants [me] to … he knows that ‘Bloodsport’ is a big film so he wants to get credit with all of that — you know what I’m saying?”

So, it seems like JCVD is ready to get back into one of the films that made him a star. I don’t know how I feel about him wanting to be in a remake, since it kinda defeats the purpose. At the same time, it would be cool to see him back in a different role, but it all depends on how things are written.

If you don’t want to see JCVD in a remake, how about a sequel? Van Damme revealed that he has actually written a script for Double Impact 2.

“I wrote the script with a friend of mine Sheldon – He [co-wrote] “Bloodsport” and “Double Impact” with me,” he told us. “Hopefully, somebody smart enough, like an agent or a producer, can put that back together…I’m excited about it, you know?”

This sounds like it comes straight from the 90′s, and I kinda like it. Of course, that will probably mean it’s going to be pretty cheesy too. Plus, will JCVD be able to pull off being twins and fight that much in the film?

So there you have it, a JCVD sequel as well as a remake. Which would you prefer?

    anything to make money…:/

    BLoodsport is a brilliant movie
it would make sense if JCVDBLURAY makes it in the film as a trainer or cameo, because he was the star in the first film

i can’t recall if I’ve seen Double IMpact

I think it would be weird to see him in a “remake” since there should be new characters. I don’t think I’ve seen Double Impact either, haha. I’m glad he’s getting the spotlight back on him, though.
