About the site
Ever since I first saw Jackie take on countless opponents in Police Story, I have been hooked on martial arts movies. Being ½ Japanese, it was only a matter of time before one of my uncles introduced me to the genre. My brother and I had countless tapes of Jackie’s movies, which did eventually branch out to other actors as well. After getting my 1st job, I began to use the internet to expand my knowledge on movies like this. To my pleasant surprise, I found that there were many movies and actors that I had never hear of.
Over the years, I have scoured the internet, trying to find that next big movie. It didn’t matter where it was from or who was in it, as long as it was entertaining to watch. Now, I am saddened to see the very movies that I searched so desperately for are becoming a dying breed. No longer is it about talent and skill, but fancy camera angles and special effects. It’s disappointing because these actors/actresses are risking their lives, but not getting the credit they deserve.
It was because of this fact that I felt I needed to do something. Martial arts movies can appeal to anyone, as long as it is done correctly. Since these movies are so few and far between, I have created a site where movies from across the world will be featured. It will be a one-stop site for many action fans, and maybe introduce them to artists or movies they were not aware of. Also, I will post reviews up for movies so people can get an idea of whether they will like the film before they buy it. In the end, I created this site to share and express my appreciation to the men and women who put their bodies (and lives) on the line in the name of entertainment.
