Emmanuel Manzanares
Emmanuel Manzanares (also known as Manny) is a martial artist, stuntman, choreographer, and fight director. He is trained in Okinawan goju-ryu Karate, Muay Thai, and Western Boxing. He is also training in Shaolin 5 Animals and Hsing-I Kung Fu. In addition to practicing martial arts, Manzanares is also a traceur.
Manny is part of LBP Stunts Chicago, a group that creates unique and exciting fight sequences. He is the head fight choreographer and action director for these sequences, but has a hand in almost all of the shooting and serves as the editor for the majority of their projects. His shooting and editing techniques were not learned at a filming school, but instead through a process of trial and error. He experimented in finding the best angles for fights while also taking advice from his peers in order to create his own distinct style.
The LBP team has created a number of sequences and short films, including their most recent work: Yo Soy Un Hombre Loco.
