Wu Jing

Wu Jing was born April 3rd, 1974. At the age of six, he was sent to the Beijing Sports Institute in order to follow in  his father and grandfather’s footsteps, both of whom were martial artists. He eventually joined the Beijing Wushu Team and won first place in several national level competitions.

Wu Jing was spotted by Yuen Woo-Ping, who was on location to scout for a martial artist for his films Tai Chi 2. Wu Jing then appeared in Lau Kar-Leung’s Drunken Monkey, but gained success playing a vicious assassin in Sha Po Lang (known as Killzone in the U.S.)

Wu Jing continues to star in martial arts films and debuted as a director with his film Legendary Assassin.
