Hopefully you saw these links on my facebook page, but in case you didn’t, I’m going to re-post these on a proper page. 2 shorts were released over the weekend, each of them with their own merit as to why you must see them.
We’ll start off with Yellow Zone, an amazing homage to 80′s classic HK-style action. It features Andy Long Nguyen, Can Aydin, and Khoi Chau. Everything some the soundtrack and subtitles to the choreography and outtakes screams old school. Be sure to check it out!
Next up is a short that makes a name for itself in a completely different manner. LBP Stunts Chicago has released Dogfight. As the title suggests, Dogfight is an intense battle that never lets up, not even for a second.
The short was created by Shawn Bernal, Nate Hitpas, Jessie Bayani, and Emmanuel Manzanares. If you want to see what some of the best modern-day choreography, you need to watch this video.
These two shorts prove exactly why I love the up and coming talent in the industry. There are several talented people out there just looking to make their mark, and it proves you don’t need a big budget to make it happen. Both of these projects were labors of love, and lots of hours were spent on getting the exact feel right.
Congrats to everyone who worked so hard to perfect these videos, they are both amazing in their own right. Keep it up!
It’s been a bit since I’ve written about Unlucky Stars, but the guys behind the film have been hard at work making sure everything is perfect. Since the fundraiser came to a close, they’ve added more action, more names, and more fights. Of course, this was all made possible by everyone that helped the film out by donating.
In order to show their appreciation and get everyone excited, a second teaser of Unlucky Stars has been released. Trust me, it was worth the wait. Check it out now!
For those of you that missed out the first time, let me catch fill you in on what Unlucky is about. The story revolves around Peru’s biggest action star and Jordan’s newest talent, both of which find themselves being chased by a notorious bookie. When this happens, two private investigators are forced to choose between their jobs and their conscience.
What makes Unlucky Stars standout from the rest is simply how big of a project it is. There are so many talented people working on this film, all with the same goal to create something exciting and unique. The film was written and directed by Dennis Ruel with Vladislav Rimburg handling the choreography. Each fight is different and creative, making it a showcase in its own way.
Of course, the movie features the hard work of a number of talented people. Some of the names attached to Unlucky Stars include Ken Quitugua, Sari Sabella, Jose Montesinos, Giovannie Espiritu, Steven Yu, Sam Hargrave, Emmanuel Manzanares, Roy Chen, Shawn Bernal, Ed Kahana, and Troy Carbonel. Each of these fighters has their own range of skills and talents, making the cast of characters varied and unique.
I can’t wait to see and learn more about Unlucky Stars, since I think it has a lot to offer. Be sure to follow the film on Facebook or their official page for the most up-to-date information.
A lot of news for the week. Hopefully you guys were able to read it all. Let me know what you think of my trailer analysis and I’ll keep you posted on what’s coming for the site!
LBP Stunts has done it again! They have just released a practice fight that was inspired by the Raid. Check it out for yourself before I ramble on too much.
If this was a test, consider it a success cause I wanna see more! What truly amazes me is how tight some of the shots are, yet they are still very clear. Brendon and Shawn did an awesome job with the choreo while Manny handled the camera masterfully.
I’m really excited to see what doors this opens up for LBP Stunts. These guys keep raising the bar and I truly believe they are on the verge of something big. If you still don’t believe me, take another look at their team action reel:
