I’m pretty excited about the Four, which is coming out in a few months. While the trailer didn’t show me very much, some new images of each character has been released.
I think that the 4 has a nice twist on the Zombie genre, and it almost has a Mr. Vampire. I’m usually a wuss when it comes to scary things, but this one looks like it will be more action than horror.
If you haven’t seen the trailer, here it is for your viewing pleasure.
Well, I guess everybody was saving their news til the end of the week. There is a lot to cover, so I’ll try to spread it out as evenly as possible.
First, there is a teaser trailer for The Four, which is co-directed by Gordon Chan and Janet Chun. It stars Anthony Wong, Colin Chou, Crystal Liu, Deng Chao, and Ronald Cheng. This movie looks like it’s got a little of everything, including zombies.
The Four is slated to come out 0n July 12, and is already being planned as trilogy. Wang Changtian, CEO of Enlight Media had this to say about the plans on the Four:
“I am crazy about wuxia. In negotiations with the novel’s author, Wen Ruian, we intended to shoot a trilogy. As a result, the second and the third installments have started shooting before the first one’s release.”
Needless to say, there is a lot to look forward to in regards to The Four.
Next up is some information on Black Dynamite 2. While it’s nothing concrete, there is some hopeful news that proves Michael Jai White hasn’t given up on the character, stating that they plan on shooting Black Dynamite 2 at the end of this year.
I haven’t seen Black Dynamite yet, and it’s been on my “need to watch” list for a while now. I know it’s more of a cult hit, but it did get a cartoon on Cartoon Network as well. Let me know if any of you are excited about this news.
Last (but definitely not least) is the announcement that today is Jet Li’s birthday. He turns 49 today, and he can still beat me down without breaking a sweat. The man is incredibly talented and I hope to see some more great films from him.
