Crave online managed to sit down with Scott Adkins and talk to him about Undisputed IV. There has been a lot of support for the film (from you guys as well) and it looks like Adkins has his own hopes as to where the character goes.

“For me, I would want to call it Boyka: Undisputed IV because now it’s out of the jail setting…Boyka’s out of prison. It’s onto the next step of his life. I think people know the character Boyka so well now anyway that you could just go Boyka: Undisputed IV.”
There aren’t very many people who would be evenly matched against Boyka, but that hasn’t kept Adkins from dreaming big.

“I’ve got some ideas of who I’d like to see in a film as the main villain, but I don’t want to say yet. I don’t want to say just in case things change. I need the green light and the go ahead.”
While it will be a while before we get anything definite, at least we know the gears are turning. It looks like things are lining up nicely, and we may be able to see Boyka back in action later next year.

“We’ve got a script and I’d hope to do it next year, but ultimately it’s not up to me.”
I’m excited to see where Undisputed IV takes Boyka, as it can be a great way to explore his character even more. Could the underground fighting ring still be in place? What is Boyka’s family like? There are a lot of different directions that they can go, and I can’t wait to see what they decide to do.
I’ve enjoyed both Undisputed 2 and 3, and I’m sure the fourth one will blow us away as well. I’ll keep you posted as I learn more. Feel free to sound off on what you would like to see and who should take on Boyka!
